Welcome to Paeroa College
Welcome to the most innovative, exciting and proud school in the heart of Hauraki. Paeroa College is a State co-educational secondary (years 9-13) school, located in the thriving and attractive rural town of Paeroa. Surrounded by extensive grounds, the College has developed, since 1958, into a beautiful complex of classrooms and specialist facilities all with an intentional Enviroschool focus. As the only secondary school in town, Paeroa College is Paeroa's College. We provide a range of learning experiences to meet the individual needs of all students.
Our school moto Mahi Tahi Kia Kaha, expresses our core value that it is through hard work and collective effort that great things are accomplished. It provides a clear message to students in the classroom, on the playing field and in life after leaving school.
Paeroa College has an unashamed focus on academic excellence and outstanding achievement. We have a flexible and integrated curriculum that places the student at the centre of the learning every time. This emphasis on the needs and aspirations of our students enables all students to achieve their NCEA qualifications and leave school with a clear pathway to tertiary study, further training or the workplace. Our commitment to partnership with family and whānau ensures that every student achieves learning and qualifications tailored to their own needs.
In addition to our learning programmes, Paeroa College is famous for our sporting and cultural success. Our Kapa Haka is thriving. We have outstanding rugby, touch, football, basketball, netball, lacrosse golf and chess teams that are often champions in their grades and local Hauraki or Thames Valley competitions.
We love being a part of Paeroa with opportunities for community service and connection thriving throughout our school. We are a small school. We have a big heart. We are proud of Paeroa. We are proud of Paeroa College. We believe in Excellence in Everything.
